All you need to know about Blue Lens Glasses – Ambr Eyewear

For a while I had seen a lot online about blue lens glasses but being honest I didn’t really take much notice at first and then all of a sudden it was as if everyone had a pair and every second post on Instagram it was to do with blue lens glasses. When I gave in and looked into it more I realized the importance of blue light and how important it is to protect your eye especially if you’re constantly on your phone or laptop all day long like me.

I won’t lie, I was a little unsure about it all initially and it did take me a good while after a lot of research to finally decide on a pair of blue lens glasses that were stylish yet affordable. I had seen many of the blue lens glasses online that cost hundreds of euros and I thought to myself not a chance am I paying that for something that may not even help me personally. So I came across a super stylish and affordable brand online that is called Ambr Eyewear. I had a look on their website and instantly fell in love with the ranges of glasses to choose from of both non prescription and prescription glasses.

Obviously I don’t have perception glasses so when I went to buy the blue lens glasses I did question do I need a percription? Do I need an eye test before purchasing? And the answer is no. Which I think is great because it saves a lot of hassle as I mentioned before I spend most of my days on my phone or on my laptop and even watching the TV (which is a lot of blue light) and I did find I was starting to get headaches and couldn’t sleep properly so for this reason this is why I personally wanted to try and protect my eyes from any potential harm that blue light could be doing, without knowing the long term affects.

What is it?

“Blue light is the rays emitted off the monitor and screens of smartphones, computers, and TVs that strain your eyes by causing strain on the visual system.”

People these days are constantly in front of a screen so obviously overtime blue light is going to effect your eyes at some stage as too much of anything is harmful of course.

What do the glasses do?

Ambr Eyewear protect your eyes from the effects of blue light. These blue light lenses have been proven to reduce the effects of blue light so you can spend as much time on Instagram as you want all whilst protecting your eyes. You’ll notice that the glasses have a slight yellow tint to them, which counteracts the blue rays. This can’t be noticed though once wearing the glasses you can only really see it if you hold them a certain way in the light.

Symptoms of Blue Light Damage..

  • Eye Fatigue
  • Discomfort or irritation in Eyes
  • Headaches
  • Dry or itchy eyes
  • Blurry or double vision
  • Not sleeping
  • Not working to full potential

I personally didn’t think too much into these symptoms until I looked into getting the glasses as I just thought I was getting headaches because I was tired and my eyes were dry and blurry because I was tired and not for a minute did it ever cross my mind that it may all be down to blue light which now after using the glasses I can clearly say it was.

I’ve been using these glasses from Ambr Eyewear for over a month now and I can honestly say I have found a difference. I have been sleeping better at night, no more headaches and I can spend as much time as I like on my phone without feeling guilty. I personally chose Ambr Eyewear because they were the most affordable brand for my budget. They have a great range of blue lens glasses available online from Kids to Adults and they start from just €51 here is a link to the Glasses I bought which I got €5 off my purchase on the day just for recommending a friend
